Red White & Bruised, July 11th 2009

Our very first home banked track bout!
Red Dirt Rebellion (70) vs. Arizona Derby Dames (139)

If you didn't see our bout at the COX Convention Center on Saturday, July 11th, then you TOTALLY MISSED OUT! Our first home game was incredible, complete with a sold out crowd of over 1,000 spectators! Our fans were amazing, the louder they screamed, the faster we skated. Arizona put up a good fight, and won the game in the end. But Red Dirt Rebellion won the hearts of every person who came to watch. We signed tons of autographs, and took hundreds of pictures! Our season schedule will be coming soon.

After 2 LONG years of hard work, dedication, constant practice, fundraising, and advertising, we FINALLY FINALLY FINALLY performed our very first home game on our very own banked track! Thanks to the Arizona Derby Dames, we created a huge fan base of banked track derby here in OKC. We were not at all expecting to sell out. Looking at all the signs, painted faces, and screaming fans with cameras really made us realize that this is going to be huge, and we're just so excited to be finally skating for real.

Contrary to a lot of roller derby games, our crowd actually got BIGGER after halftime! There was a YardDawgz game happening in the main arena of the COX Center, and we managed to pull quite a few of their spectators over to watch some roller derby. It was obvious that the Cox Center was not expecting that large of a crowd, because they sold out of beer within the very first quarter! We'll make sure they keep plenty in stock for next time ;)

Because tickets are general admission, make sure you come early to our next game so you can get a good seat. You don't wanna be left out in the heat while all your friends watch us kick ass again, do ya? We didn't think so!

Keep checking our website for updates on the most bad-ass rollergirls of the MIDWEST!
